IRAN REGIME'S OFFICIAL: "THE GOVERNMENT MUST PROTEST AGAINST FRANCE DUE TO MEK GATHERING" |
By INU Staff
INU - The state run daily, Kayhan's editor-in-chief, Hossein Shariatmadari in his editorial on June 5 reacted to signing Total Deal simultaneously with the Gathering of the Iranian Resistance in Paris.
In its article, Kayhan entitled "They humiliated and received awards" wrote, "The remarks of the former French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bernard Kouchner, in the gathering of MEK-which was held in Paris one day after Zarif's travel to France, signifies France's intention to humiliate our country."
Shariatmadari writes, "Bernard Kouchner in MEK's Gathering in Paris states that, 'The Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs came to France and was welcomed yesterday. I do not want to put the blame on the French Foreign Minister, Mr. Jean-Yves. We are an old republic and we can welcome and accept everyone in our country on this basis. However, it is better to do the right things at the right time. In my opinion, welcoming Zarif, the day before this gathering was not a good thing. Nevertheless, we are very happy and proud as the government did not release a general statement about Mr.Zarif's travel.'"
